Before setting up hiring stages, make sure you have:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Company Admin or Recruitment Admin access
\u2022 your candidate review process confirmed
\u2022 the main recruitment stages agreed with your hiring team
\u2022 any custom screening steps listed
\u2022 recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers already assigned<\/p>\n
Decide which extra steps should sit under the standard hiring stages. For example, your Screening stage may include an Assessment\/Test and an Interview.<\/p>\n
Hiring stages show where each candidate is in the recruitment process. They also help recruiters track pending work and move applicants through a clear sequence.<\/p>\n
Standard stages keep the main workflow consistent. Custom sub-stages let your company add the steps it needs without changing the full recruitment structure.<\/p>\n
1. Sign in to Synclo<\/strong> 2. Open Recruitment Setup<\/strong> 3. Open Hiring Stages<\/strong> The page will display the stages used in the candidate pipeline.<\/p>\n 4. Review the standard hiring stages<\/strong> \u2022 Candidate Intake Review the order before adding custom steps.<\/p>\n 5. Check the status of each stage<\/strong> Confirm that the stages needed for your recruitment process are active and available for candidate tracking.<\/p>\n 6. Review existing sub-stages<\/strong> For example, the Screening stage may include:<\/p>\n \u2022 Assessment\/Test These entries are marked as custom and can be managed separately.<\/p>\n 7. Click Add Sub Stage<\/strong> The Add Sub-Stage window will open.<\/p>\n 8. Enter the sub-stage name<\/strong> Examples include:<\/p>\n \u2022 Technical Assessment Choose a name that tells users what action takes place at that step.<\/p>\n 9. Select the parent stage<\/strong> For example, add Technical Assessment under Screening if it forms part of candidate evaluation.<\/p>\n 10. Add the sub-stage<\/strong> The new entry will appear under the selected parent stage.<\/p>\n 11. Arrange custom sub-stages<\/strong> Place the stages in the same sequence followed by your recruitment team.<\/p>\n 12. Edit a custom sub-stage<\/strong> Update the information, then save the change.<\/p>\n 13. Delete an unused sub-stage<\/strong> Before deleting it, check whether any active candidates are linked to that stage.<\/p>\n 14. Review the complete hiring flow<\/strong> Make sure each custom sub-stage appears under the correct parent and follows a clear order.<\/p>\n 15. Save the stage configuration<\/strong> The updated stages will become available in candidate pipelines.<\/p>\n 16. On the Recruitment Configuration page, select the Hiring Stages<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n

Each stage displays an Active<\/strong> status.<\/p>\n
Custom sub-stages appear under their parent stage.<\/p>\n

Select Add Sub Stage<\/strong> in the top right corner of the Hiring Stages section.<\/p>\n
In the Stage Name<\/strong> field, enter a short and clear name.<\/p>\n

Open the Parent Stage<\/strong> dropdown and choose the main stage where the new sub-stage belongs.<\/p>\n
Review the name and parent stage. Then click Add Sub-Stage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
Use the drag handle beside a custom sub-stage to move it into the correct order.<\/p>\n
Click the edit icon beside a custom stage when you need to change its name or settings.<\/p>\n
Click the delete icon beside a custom stage that is no longer needed.<\/p>\n
Read the stage list from Candidate Intake through Hired or Rejected.<\/p>\n
Click Save Changes<\/strong> at the bottom of the page.<\/p>\n
