How to Create a Performance Cycle in Synclo
Before you begin
Before creating a performance cycle, make sure you have:
• Company Admin access to PeopleManager
• defined performance review periods (quarterly, bi-annual, annual)
• configured rating bands or scoring models (if applicable)
• any bonus or appraisal rules linked to performance
• clarity on which employees or groups the cycle will apply to
If your organization uses structured reviews, ensure rating criteria and templates are finalized before creating the cycle. This avoids reconfiguration later.
Why this setup matters
A performance cycle defines how employee evaluations are conducted across your organization. It creates the framework for reviews, goal tracking, and performance scoring. A properly configured cycle ensures consistency, transparency, and alignment between employee performance and business outcomes.
Steps
1. Sign in to Synclo and open PeopleManager
Log in to app.synclo.com with Company Admin access. From the main navigation, open PeopleManager.
2. Navigate to Performance Management
From the sidebar, go to Manage Company > Performance Management to access performance settings and configurations.
3. Open performance configuration

8. Select target employees or groups
Define which employees, departments, or grades will be included in this performance cycle.
9. Link templates and scoring models
If available, connect the cycle to the appropriate review templates, rating models, or evaluation criteria.
10. Save the performance cycle
Save the configuration to activate the cycle within the system.
11. Verify availability across modules
Ensure the cycle appears in My Performance, Team Performance, and All Employees Performance views.
12. Communicate cycle details
Inform managers and employees about timelines, expectations, and evaluation processes to ensure smooth execution.
What happens next
After creating the performance cycle, you can:
• assign goals and KPIs to employees
• begin manager and self-evaluations
• track performance progress across teams
• generate performance reports and insights
This ensures that performance management is structured, measurable, and aligned with organizational goals.
