How to Approve Leave Requests in Synclo

Before you begin

Before approving leave requests, make sure you have:
• manager, HR Admin, or Company Admin access
• visibility into your team or all employee leave records
• configured leave policies and leave types
• an understanding of approval workflows (single-level or multi-level)

If your organization uses multi-level approvals, confirm whether you are the first approver (manager) or final approver (HR). This helps you take the correct action in the workflow.

Why this setup matters

Leave approvals directly impact attendance records, payroll calculations, and compliance tracking. A structured approval process ensures that employee leave balances are updated accurately, approvals follow company policy, and all actions are auditable within PeopleManager.

Steps

1. Sign in to Synclo and open PeopleManager
Log in to app.synclo.com using your credentials. Make sure your role allows you to review and approve leave requests.

2. Navigate to Leave Management
If you are a manager, go to My Team Management > Team Leaves. If you are HR/Admin, go to Manage Company > Attendance Management > Employee Leaves or All Employees Leaves.

3. Use Search Filters to find the request
Use filters under All Leaves such as employee name, date range, or leave type to locate the specific request quickly.

4. Open the pending request
Click on a request marked as RA Review Pending (manager stage) or HR Review Pending (final stage) to view full details.

5. Review leave details carefully
Check leave dates, type, notes, and any attachments. Also review the approval history to understand prior actions taken.

6. Check Leave Balance
Open the Leave Balances modal to confirm whether the employee has sufficient leave balance before making a decision.

7. Approve or Reject the request
Click Approve if the request meets policy requirements or Reject if it does not. Always follow company guidelines when making decisions.

8. Manager approval flow (if applicable)
If you are the manager and a second-level approval is configured, the request will move to HR after your approval.

9. HR final approval
If you are HR/Admin, your approval finalizes the request and updates the employee’s leave balance and status.

10. Confirm system notification
A confirmation modal will appear, such as Leave Approved, Leave Approved – Sent for HR Review, or Leave Rejected.

11. Verify final status
Open the request detail view again to confirm the final status and ensure the leave balance has been updated correctly.

What happens next

After approval or rejection, you can:
• track leave status in employee records
• ensure attendance is updated automatically
• verify payroll impact for paid or unpaid leaves
• review reports for team or company leave trends

This ensures accurate record-keeping and smooth integration with attendance and payroll workflows.
