How to Manage Attendance and Leave in Synclo
Before you begin
Before managing attendance and leave, make sure you have:
• HR Admin or Manager access
• configured leave types and policies
• assigned employee shifts or working hours
• company holidays already defined
• employees added to the system
If policies are not configured first, attendance and leave data may not reflect correctly in reports or payroll.
Why this setup matters
Attendance and leave management directly affect payroll, compliance, and workforce planning. When configured properly, the system automatically tracks working hours, leave balances, and absences. As a result, manual errors are reduced and reporting becomes more reliable.
Steps
1. Sign in to Synclo and open PeopleManager
Log in to app.synclo.com with the required access. Then, open PeopleManager from the main dashboard.
2. Navigate to Attendance Management
From the sidebar, go to Manage Company > Attendance Management to access attendance and leave controls.
3. Review employee attendance records
Open attendance views to check daily logs, late entries, or missing records. This helps identify inconsistencies early.
4. Configure or review leave types
Next, ensure that leave types such as annual, sick, or unpaid leave are properly set up and aligned with company policy.
5. Monitor leave requests
After that, check incoming leave requests under Employee Leaves or Team Leaves depending on your role.
6. Approve or reject requests
Based on policy and availability, approve or reject leave requests. The system will update balances automatically.
7. Track leave balances
In addition, review leave balances regularly to ensure employees have sufficient remaining days.
8. Manage attendance discrepancies
If issues arise, such as missing check-ins, resolve them using attendance correction tools.
9. Generate attendance reports
Finally, use reporting features to analyze attendance trends, absenteeism, and team performance.
What happens next
Once attendance and leave are managed effectively, you can:
• ensure accurate payroll calculations
• track employee productivity and presence
• reduce manual corrections
• maintain compliance with company policies
This creates a more reliable and automated workforce management system.
